Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
IronLand is an online marketplace where members place adverts for tractors, loaders, diggers and dumpers, tillage and harvest equipment, trailers and commercial vehicles, grounds maintenance and workshop plant. Dealers and private sellers list machines they hold, buyers search by hours, class and attachment, and the machine is inspected before it moves. The site is operated as part of the All Farmers, One Platform network; the operator can be reached at [email protected] or through the contact page.
2. Your account
Browsing is open to everyone. Posting an advert, or answering one, needs an account. You must give a valid email address, keep your password confidential and accept responsibility for everything done under your account; tell us promptly if you think the password has been compromised. One person may hold one account, and we may merge or close duplicates after writing to you.
3. What you may and may not do
- Use the site lawfully, and only to advertise or acquire goods and services you may lawfully trade where you are.
- Post accurate adverts: the description, the price and the photographs must match what is on offer.
- Do not post stolen property, live animals in breach of welfare rules, restricted weapons, prescription veterinary medicines, uncertified seed or plant material, or anything whose sale is prohibited where the item is.
- Do not scrape, resell, systematically extract or mirror listings, photographs or member data.
- Do not interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or reverse-engineer the software beyond what applicable law allows.
- Do not use a member's contact details to approach them for anything other than the enquiry they replied to.
4. Adverts and moderation
You keep ownership of what you post and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, store, reproduce and adapt it for operating and promoting the service while the advert is live. We moderate the board and may refuse, move, hide or remove any advert without notice where it breaches these Terms, misleads, breaks the law, or is reported by members. Removing an advert creates no liability towards you.
5. The deal is between you and the other party
IronLand introduces buyers and sellers. It does not sell the items shown, take possession of them, handle the purchase price or guarantee that any party will perform. The contract for sale is made directly between buyer and seller, and each answers to the other for quality, description, delivery, warranty, tax and any statutory remedy. See our Disclaimer.
6. Fees
The core service is free. Optional paid features are priced on screen before you confirm them and billed only after you start them. Unless an offer says otherwise, a fee is non-refundable once the feature has been delivered, and we may change prices with reasonable notice on the site.
7. Intellectual property
The site itself — its design, code, logos, category structure and original editorial text — belongs to us or to our licensors. Member material belongs to the member who posted it. You may print or share a single listing in order to buy or sell that item; anything else needs our written consent. Details are in the Copyright Notice.
8. Availability
We work to keep the site available around the clock and we plan for maintenance, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. The service may be paused for updates, infrastructure work or events outside our control, and we announce planned downtime on the site where we reasonably can.
9. Suspending and closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly breaches these Terms, is used in fraud, or whose owner cannot be reached at the address on file. You may close your own account at any time from your account page; the steps are set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
We are liable for our own negligence, for fraud and for fraudulent misrepresentation, and nothing here limits a liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, revenue or data, or for the acts and omissions of other members. Where we are liable for anything else, our total liability is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and £100.
11. Complaints
Tell us what went wrong through the contact page and quote the email address on your account. We acknowledge a complaint within two working days and answer it in substance within fourteen. If we cannot settle it, you may refer the matter to the consumer authority of your country; residents of the European Union may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform.
12. Changes to these Terms and governing law
We may update these Terms as the service changes; the date at the top of this page is the date of the last change, and for material changes we notify members by email before the new terms apply. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts hear any dispute, save that the mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence still apply to you.
13. Machinery, plant and vehicles
- A seller must state the machine's hours or mileage honestly and disclose known faults, previous damage, any repair affecting safety or structure, and any modification made to it.
- A machine advertised as running, road legal or certificated must run, be road legal or hold that certificate at the time of sale.
- Ownership must be the seller's to transfer. We may ask a seller to evidence title, and we remove an advert where title cannot be shown.
- On-road machines must be sold with the documentation the buyer's country requires; the buyer is responsible for registering and taxing what they buy.
- Inspection is the buyer's right and the seller's protection. Never buy heavy plant on photographs alone, and record any agreed condition in writing before payment.
