Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 2026

IronLand.com is a trading yard for heavy equipment, used mainly by dealers, rental companies and equipment owners. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why we handle it, who it may reach and what rights you hold.

1. Information We Collect

  • Browsing preferences: the light or dark mode, the paint job and your answer to the cookie notice are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. They never reach our servers.
  • Messages you send: the name, business, email address and message you type into our contact form, so we can answer you.
  • Account and listing data: when you register or post a lot, the business and contact details you submit - dealership name, contact person, phone, yard location - plus the machine details and photographs of the lot. A lot ticket is a public advertisement: what you choose to publish on it is visible to every visitor.
  • Usage data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (pages requested, browser and device type, country-level geography, referring page) for security, abuse prevention and basic traffic statistics.

2. Why We Use It

  • Showing you the yard and remembering how you set it up
  • Publishing the lots you post and routing enquiries about them to the right seller
  • Answering messages sent through the contact form
  • Verifying that a listing party is a real, contactable business
  • Detecting and stopping fraud, scraping, fake lots and other abuse
  • Fixing defects and improving the site
  • Meeting our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations

3. Legal Basis

Where data-protection law requires a basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a working equipment marketplace, on the contract formed when you use the site or post a lot, on your consent where you gave it (your cookie notice answer and any marketing opt-in), and on legal obligation where we are required to keep records.

4. Who Sees It

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we place no advertising or tracking cookies. Information moves only to: the visitors reading a lot ticket you chose to publish; the suppliers who run the site for us (hosting, font delivery, email delivery and backup), each under contract to process data only on our instructions; and law-enforcement or a regulator where we are compelled to disclose, in which case we disclose the minimum required.

5. Data Security

Traffic between your browser and the site travels over TLS. Access to server-side data is limited to staff and processors who need it, under confidentiality. Preferences never leave your device. No system is unbreakable, so never send us passwords, payment-card images or documents you are not willing to have held securely.

6. Retention

Lot tickets stay live until the seller withdraws them and are then archived or deleted. Contact-form threads are kept while the conversation is open and for a short period afterwards so we can answer a follow-up. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and statistics. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to records we must retain by law.

7. International Transfers

The site is served from a data center that may sit outside the country you live in, and our font provider operates globally. Where your data leaves its home jurisdiction we use service providers and safeguards that give an adequate level of protection.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live - the EU/UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, Brazil's LGPD, South Africa's POPIA and similar regimes - you may ask us to: confirm what we hold and give you a copy; correct anything inaccurate; delete what we no longer need to keep; restrict or pause processing; object to processing based on legitimate interest or to direct marketing; withdraw consent you previously gave without penalty; receive your data in a portable format; or lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Ask through the contact page and we will answer within one month.

9. Third-Party Services

  • Google Fonts: delivers the Archivo and Saira Condensed typefaces and receives your IP address when the browser requests them
  • Our hosting provider: serves the site and keeps standard request logs
  • Our email provider: relays the replies we send to contact-form messages

10. Business Contact Data

A lot ticket published by a dealership shows the business name, the yard location and the contact route the dealer chose for that lot. That is business contact information published for a commercial purpose. If a ticket shows your business or your photographs without authority, report it through the contact page and we will take it down.

11. Children

IronLand.com is a commercial equipment yard and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The revised version is posted here with a new date, and material changes are announced on the site before they take effect.
