Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the .NAME domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal websites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to register john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can purchase your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no specific requirements on who can acquire a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
